Back to School—and Planning for the Future
School Discount Offer
September marks the beginning of another busy school year, but it is also an important time for schools to look ahead and plan for their future development.
Fundmajor is delighted to be working on two exciting new fundraising campaigns involving three schools: Coolanarney National School in County Offaly, together with St. Joseph’s C.B.S. Secondary School and C.B.S. Primary School in Nenagh.
Coolanarney National School
Coolanarney National School is preparing for a Fun 5K Family and Friends Sponsored Walk in Boora on Saturday, 17th October.
The campaign will support several important school improvement projects, including upgrades to the school’s water system, improvements to its heating and energy systems, and further development of the children’s play area.
As a small rural school, Coolanarney hopes to bring together current families, past pupils, local businesses and supporters from throughout the wider community.
A Joint Christmas Walkathon in Nenagh
In Nenagh, St. Joseph’s C.B.S. Secondary School and C.B.S. Primary School are joining forces for a special Christmas Walkathon on Friday, 11th December.
The event will bring together pupils, families, staff, past pupils and the wider communities of both schools to support two significant development projects.
Funds raised by the secondary school will go towards the renovation and modernisation of the Monastery House. Following the granting of planning permission, the school plans to transform the building into modern educational and wellbeing facilities for current and future generations of students.
The primary school is fundraising for the development of a new all-weather astro playing facility. This will support sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing while also providing a valuable resource for the wider school community.
Both Nenagh schools have expanded significantly in recent years. With a strong crossover of families between them, the benefits of these projects will be shared by hundreds of children and young people throughout the community.
Although each campaign has its own goals, they share a common purpose: bringing school communities together to create better facilities and opportunities for their pupils.
