St Brigid's GAA Club
"a fundraising platform that was easy for everyone to use...."
St. Brigid’s Hurling Club and their sister club, St. Brigid’s Camogie Club, have been at the heart of the communities in Milltownpass, Rochfortbridge, Tyrrellspass and Dalystown. Over the years, they have built strong bonds with the local football clubs, relying on their facilities to train and play. However, with the exciting growth of their underage programs and the expansion of their Camogie Club, the time came for them to establish a home of their own.
In 2025 a fundraising group was formed and successfully raised enough funds from the community to purchase a field in Dalystown, which will be their new home. This group then needed to raise further funds to help develop this new facilty.
John Peppard from St Brigid's GAA, said
" As a volunteer-led club, reducing admin and keeping things simple was hugely important to us. FundMajor gave us a professional fundraising platform that was easy for everyone to use, while helping us raise more than we thought possible. The response from the community was incredible.”
The club had an original target to raise €60,000 and exceeded it by raising more than double this amount with a total of just over €125,000 raised in May 2026. They ran a sponosred walk and had 63 participants registered on the fundmajor platform.
